Dunn Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

Dark black cherry, crushed violets, earthy loam, smoky tobacco and anise. The palate is board, serious and slightly rustic with dark black fruit and cassis flooding the palate along with savoury chocolate, iron, fresh earth, sweet tobacco, cedar and finely grained tannins finishing long with mineral notes. This blend features fruit from the Coombsville AVA, which adds a softening touch, allowing the wine to be enjoyed at an earlier stage. Although I opted for a 6-hour decant, I am truly impressed with its character as a 'second' wine. This provides a small yet intriguing preview of the Howell Mountain wine experience.
